The gap between "how many props does one person need" and "how many props does a small class need" isn't just a matter of multiplying by headcount. Some props scale close to linearly with the number of people in the room; others barely change at all until the group crosses a certain size. Seeing the actual numbers side by side, from a household of one up to a small class of eight, makes the difference concrete.
Starting point: a household of one

The mat count barely moves across all three styles at 8 students — it stays at 10 regardless, because mats scale only with headcount and the spares buffer, never with class style. Why "per person" thinking breaks down at small scale

A prop kit sized correctly for a household of two rarely stays correctly sized forever — a regular guest becomes a third household member, or a casual pair of friends practicing together grows into a small standing weekly group. Rather than adding one block or strap at a time reactively as the pile of gear starts feeling short, it's worth re-running the actual current headcount through the calculator whenever the group's size shifts, the same way a studio would re-check its stocking plan against updated enrollment.
