Registration and Preparation

To participate in the Turkey Trot, runners must register in advance. Registration typically opens several weeks before the event and can be completed online or in-person at The Inner Path yoga and fitness studio. Runners are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for check-in and to get familiar with the course.

The History of the Turkey Trot

The Turkey Trot has been a staple in Atlanta’s charity running scene for over 20 years. The event was first held in 2001 by a group of local runners who wanted to create a fun and inclusive way to raise money for a good cause.

Participants can choose from a 2-mile route or a 5-mile course starting outside the yoga studio at 206 Smith St. in LaGrange at 7 a.m. on Thanksgiving.
